Evergreen | A Writer’s Retreat

Evergreen is a writer’s retreat in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. The cabin sits on 35 acres of wild land with mountain views, and it’s surrounded by pine trees. That’s partly how it got its name. Evergreen is also a writing term that means a story that endures. Come here to read, pray, and have uninterrupted time to write. Enjoy a time of deep rest and renewal. With the San Juan National Forest and Weminuche Wilderness steps away, there are plenty of places to hike, mountain bike, camp, and enjoy the beauty of God’s creation.

How It Works

Retreats can last anywhere from a half a day to three weeks. Each retreat is unique and can take many forms, such as solo retreats, writing retreats, or adventure-based retreats. I’ll work with you to custom-design your stay.

Practical Stuff

The 1628-square-foot cabin has one bedroom, two bathrooms, a writing room, a kitchen, a living area, and a loft. WiFi is available, but it can be unreliable at times — it’s mountain living! You’re encouraged to unplug and slow down here. Browse the library of books, listen to the birds, sip coffee on the deck, or enjoy the “television” by watching wildlife out the window. The closest airport is Durango, a 90-minute drive away. The Albuquerque airport is three and a half hours away, and the Denver airport is five and a half hours away.
