My Friend and Web Designer
Not enough has been made about my friend Brooke.
We met in 7th grade. Our moms signed us up for Saturday morning ski lessons. This was Ohio, so we're talking a hill the size of a hardboiled egg. Still, I was intimidated by the "mountain." Brooke was fearless. She inspired me to point the two sticks on my feet downhill and gooooooo!
We shared lunch in the lodge. She liked the crunchy fries; I liked the squishy ones. I preferred the seat next to the fire; she wanted the second chair a little further away. We were a perfect match. Today I love to ski (albeit in the Rockies). All because of my first teacher Brooke.Fast forward over 20 years. Even though we live far apart, we still keep in touch. She's a web designer, I'm a writer. What would I do without her? She created my website from scratch (and has been tolerating my "Can you tweak it?" requests ever since). An updated version launched today. Thanks, Brookie Cookie.

Carrie,
I borrowed your "not enough has been made" line. Love it.

Jenny! It looks great. I love it! Brook did a terrific job.
I am so proud of you with all your published articles! You are the coolest.
(BTW, I steal ALL of Carrie's lines).
