Wild Wild West
Here's a picture from the Montana writers workshop I attended a few weeks ago. Most days we ate at Barbara's (the teacher) ranch, but this night we went to the town's local hang-out because her husband (the man sitting next to me) was having an art show at the studio across the street. Anyway, almost all the students were from LA, and that night I realized something about Angelenos I'd never realized before. You can read about it over at the Wasa blog (scroll down to the post titled "High Maintenance"). You can also read about a dead elk and my first taste of organic gum, both experienced during a hike Ron and I took a few days ago in the Weminuche Wilderness.

Happy Birthday! Imagine my surprise last week when I grabbed a copy of our local (free) organic/conscientious consumer magazine and found an article by none other than YOU! Congrats. You continue to inspire me as a writer!
