Sneak Peak
Michelle suggested displaying a Wasa picture on this site with a link to my other blog. Whaddya think?
Speaking of pictures, I'm learning how to use my camera (the last time I snapped photos I was on my honeymoon four years ago). It'll be nice to add some color to the words on this page. I'll post a photo blog of my time in the mountains next week, but here's a sneak peak of my wood chopping skills. I kept tapping the wood gingerly . . . my mom on the other hand smacked right into it with no fear.

Hello Jenny, Well aren't you the clever one ~ I just zipped over there to your official freelance writer blog (Silly me, how had I never before noticed that link?). And in no time I was enjoying your *Waltzing our way through marriage's first test* in The Washington Post. Thank you for the little nudge to get on over there, I'll be going over often ! (And I'm looking at what you Real Writers write because, well, I've got aspirations...) Oh - and Thank You Jenny for your comments at my blog! I'm all smiles =)

You look like such the mountain woman! When is the first writing retreat? Sign me up!

Love the WASA pic.
And wood chopping! Would the lawyer you of four years ago ever have imagined? You rock!
P.S. I love, that like all pioneer woman, you have your safety goggles on!

Are you wearing SAFETY glasses? Oh, Jenny, I adore you, but I sure am glad your mountain retreat isn't in Maine. Nothing pegs you as someone "from away" like safety glasses to chop kindling. Thanks for the picture - and the laugh.
Ever Affectionately Yours,
Amalia

Thanks Eileen!
And Amalia -- your comment cracked me up. You bet those are safety googles...and I'll be wearning 'til all of my wood chopping days :-)

Jenny - I'm so glad you "got" that I was being humorous... after I wrote it, I was afraid you'd think I was trying to insult you. Nothing could be further from the truth! My 92 year-old grandmother would applaud you for using the appropriate safety equipment... as she splits her own kindling without gloves or glasses. :D

Okay, I would also be wearing steel gloves. I would have chopped a finger off for sure!

I was checking for a new post, but the glasses made me smile again anyway.
When you wear them, I want you to sing,
I'M
Too sexy for my goggles....
