It's a Start
At the very end of our honeymoon my camera battery died. Next month we're about to celebrate our four year anniversary and I still haven't replaced it. Ron takes pictures from time to time. Or sometimes my friends send them to me. I used to be a nut with the camera, but the day the battery died I just sort of thought, Why don't I enjoy the moments instead of trying to capture them? But - now I visit other blogs and LOVE all the pictures. They add so much life. So I grabbed my camera bag off the closet shelf and dusted it off. It's a start.

When you wrote, The day the battery died, it reminded me of, "The day the music died" from Bye Bye Ms. American Pie (cuz we just heard it today at one of those kiosks at the store where you push the button to listen to the CD)...
I'm assuming you also replaced the batteries? Otherwise, that's some serious Duracell Pink Bunny shit going on!

Yeah, that's why I finally got a digital. I was shamed into it by all the other beautiful blogs full of interesting, fun pictures to look at.
But, if you think about it, blogging is all capturing the moment with words...

I know what you mean. You want to enjoy your time and sometimes the camera "gets in the way". I used to be a shutterbug. I don't post a lot of pictures because I have to wait till the pictures get developed. Oh, I could use the digital, but Hubby uses it and it would be great to use so I don't have to wait for the roll of film to be used up and develop them, but to be honest, I don't know how to use it. I have to learn how, I know. It's a start-dusting off the camera bag and replacing batteries. :)
