Yard Girl
"Do you need any help?" Ron asks after he finishes putting together the reel lawn mower.
"Nope, I've got it," I say. "All I need to do is mow the patch around our rain garden."
“I need a lunch break,” I announce. “This requires more energy than I thought it would.”
“Well, the grass is long,” Ron says, trying to make me feel better for pooping out so soon.
I eat a sandwich, fruit, and a glass of tomato juice.
“Much better,” I declare, and I bound back outside to give the ol’ reel mower another try.
Three more rows and I bend over, panting.
“I think I’m gonna barf,” I say. “I shouldn’t have eaten right before mowing.”

Hi Jenny!
Thank you so much for posting my blog in Roughly Speaking.
Does the reel mower require gas...
It is very eco-friendly if it does not require gas...

No gas -- which is why it was so hard to push! It works amazingly well though. I was quite impressed with it.

I think it might work amazingly well if Ron did it. Tell him you think it's sexy to watch him mow with it and I'll bet he would be happy to do it!

Your difficulties are the reason I use a diesel powered John Deere. That, and a few acres of grass.
Woof!

Love the hand mowers! I keep telling my husband that if he gives up his power mower and buys me a hand mower I will mow the lawn for him. He just laughs and laughs and laughs and laughs. ; ) Love the red color and look at you doing the Lawn Mower Lunge!
