A Blue Crab

Ron and I are coming upon our 1-year anniversary of living in Maryland.

Here's what dawned on me the other day:
  1. I've been so homesick for California the past 12 months that I've been sad and down
  2. I haven't meshed with the east coast the way I'd hoped so I've been grouchy and cranky
  3. Maryland is the blue crab state

Oh, the irony. Blue Crab state=Maryland. Sad, cranky.

I've never lived in another state except being in a different state of mind.

Don't know what to say that'll help.

Hugs.

We only moved 200 miles and it has been hard. It has taken me five years to get to where I am not pining for home. I like things better here now, less crime, better schools, but there are times when I am still homesick.

Or maybe I suck...just kidding! My latest and greatest theory is that there's nothing wrong with Maryland and there's nothing wrong with me - we just don't mesh together very well.

My husband's family is from Maryland, I never could get into the newpaper on the table, blue crabs in a pile, bang with a mallot and work for 20 minutes for a teeny tiny little bite! There is totally something wrong with that place!

Ever have blue crab nachos? Yum! But I vote for you to come back to sunny, smoggy, crowded, concrete jungle LA! Come back!
